AJ Eklipta (formerly AJ Discus) from Louis Poulsen was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1956 for Rødovre Town Hall. Two sizes of the opal glass wall sconce were produced for this project: 13.8 inch and 17.7 inch They were used indoors on stairs and as outdoor wall lamps. A 8.7 inch version was later designed for St. Catherines College in England. Arne Jacobsen preferred the largest model when specifying his own projects. Today, AJ Discus is used worldwide and in a variety of architectural contexts.
