PH 2/1 Stem Fitting
The PH 2/1 Stem Fitting Chandelier, designed by Poul Henningsen, is part of the innovative three-shade system he created between 1925 and 1926 in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. This partnership, lasting until Henningsen’s death in 1967, focused on achieving glare-free lighting and directing light where it was most needed.
Today, the three-shade family includes 30 models, with the PH 2/1 being a versatile option suitable for various settings. Henningsen's scientific approach to light design, based on the logarithmic spiral, ensures even light distribution and soft shadows.
The PH 2/1 features a top shade approximately 20 cm in size, paired with lower shades from the 1/1 model, allowing for lower hanging heights. Originally introduced in 2003, this 'hybrid' design expands the possibilities for stylish and functional lighting.
