Marble Acrilica Table Lamp
The Acrilica lamp, designed in 1962 by Joe and Gianni Colombo for Oluce, is an icon of Italian design that revolutionized the world of lighting. Made of transparent methacrylate, it takes advantage of the conductive properties of this material to carry light from the base to the top, creating a stunning luminous effect.
The light source, hidden in the base, illuminates the entire structure, enhancing the curved and innovative design.
Celebrated for its simplicity and pioneering role in the use of methacrylate, Acrilica won the gold medal at the XIII Triennale of Milan in 1964 and is now showcased in international museums. To mark its 60th anniversary, Oluce has released a special edition with a Portoro marble base, further enhancing the artistic and historical value of this extraordinary creation.
