AJ Eklipta wall lamp from Louis Poulsen was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1956 for Rødovre Town Hall. Two sizes of the opal glass wall sconce were produced for this project: 13.7" and 17.7". They were used indoors on stairs and as outdoor wall lamps. A 8.7" version was later designed for St. Catherines College in England. Arne Jacobsen preferred the largest model when specifying his own projects. Today, AJ Eklipta is used worldwide and in a variety of architectural contexts.
